Hi All!
Today has been confusing with the sun peeking out every hour between rain showers. Hopefully the sun will get out so I can get up to Hyde Park today. I have my Advertising Management midterm tomorrow so I'll be studying all day!
Today our field trip for 'History of London' took us around the neighborhood of our campus and the to the Victoria and Albert museum. We talked about how almost the entire neighborhood is the result of massive rebuilding after bombings of WWII. In many buildings you can see the affects of bombing where shrapnel took chunks out. I'll promise this weekend to take pictures of my building/room/surroundings so you finally have an idea of where I actually am. The Victoria and Albert museum is best described as a museum of 'stuff' it contains things from blown glass, to 17th c. beds, to clothing to art and decorations. Almost like a 'fashion and society through the time' [Museum].
Last night was Tuesday night out. I went to our local 'Gloucester Pub' which is closing for refurbishment on Friday! Went into the city with friends for a bit but called it an early night as run-down and illness seems to have hit everyone this past week. I'm lucky to finally be past my cold!!! (Guess it's everyone else's turn now). Oh! And I got a haircut yesterday. The hairdresser refused to cut it to where I wanted to (because he said I'd regret it) but it is still significantly shorter. So at least now I won't worry it will go in peoples drinks at the clubs (ugh).
Anyhow, everyone is off to Berlin and Scotland this weekend. I'm fortunate to be in contact with My cousin Meg's friend, Simon, who lives here. He is providing me with a home cooked meal tomorrow night, so I'm very excited for that! This weekend will probably consist of come exploring and venturing around the city on my part, I'll be sure to get more pictures up soon!!
Lots of love,
kate

Hey Kate take care of your self and get some rest. You need a break from all the excitment. Tell Simon hello from Aunt Jo. He is a hoot. You will have to tell if he is a good or not.
Have a good week.
